acrylic paint and ink over a brown glass jar

the piece is named 'Barry' after the artist Barry Mcgee, member of the Beautiful Losers who, in the movie of the same name, showed a series of painted bottles in a group show that were hung by string. when I was handed down some bottles that had been stored for likely at least over 2 if not 3 decades on my family's farm, i was inspired to follow his lead and do the same, in the same simple style I had done for the pieces of my paintover series.
