sized 18 1/2 x 18 1/2" with the frame

the piece takes what was once a serene scene of a young child in a garden admiring a bird who's wings she can only hope to emulate, and alters the context to give the bird an impish smile across his beak as he sprays excrement across the girl's face. she hasn't yet processed what is happening, and can only stand frozen as she's caked in the substance.

the piece was thrifted, and is not an official collaboration between sketchnate and the original artist.

note that the frame is scuffed from being transported, as is the case with most sketchnate pieces. the history of the piece is as important to the artwork as what it shows us, and so whatever happens to the pieces is part of the piece.
