Description

a 1/1 wood print of the combination traditional/digital piece 'Don't Ruin it by asking'. the piece, a scene in the style of old japanese woodblock prints, features a young boy, his head bandaged, crouched on a small flattened seaside hill in a fetal position in front of a burning toy, both of it's eyes crossed out. behind the boy, a pink figure floating towards him as a dark bird that sits atop the boy's head caws at it angrily.

as the title suggests, this scene is not to be ruined by questioning it. although a meaning can be gathered from it if the elements seem familiar to you. because of this, it will go undescribed.

24x24" illustration printed on Giclee Photo Gloss stock, attached to a 0.4” thick plaque, finished with varnish.

note that the wood's edges are scuffed from being transported, as is the case with most sketchnate pieces. the history of the piece is as important to the artwork as what it shows us, and so whatever happens to the pieces is part of the piece.
